Installation Steps

1. Shut Off the Water

Start by turning off the water supply to your shower. This keeps things dry and avoids any surprise splashing once you start disconnecting parts.

2. Take Off the Old Showerhead

• If there's already a showerhead installed, unscrew it counter-clockwise.
• Hand pressure is usually enough; an adjustable wrench can help if it's stuck.
• Keep a towel nearby — a little water can drip out as you remove it.

3. Wipe Down the Shower Arm

• With the old showerhead off, clean the threads at the end of the shower arm.
• Remove any leftover tape, grime, or mineral buildup so the new seal sits properly.

4. Wrap the Threads with Plumber's Tape

• Use the plumber's tape included in your box and wind it snugly around the shower arm threads.
• This is what creates a watertight seal and keeps leaks from forming later.

5. Screw On the Connector

• Thread the connector onto the shower arm.
• Tighten by hand until it feels secure — avoid over-tightening, which can crack the fitting or strip the threads.

6. Connect the Hose

• Attach one end of the hose to the connector you just installed.
• Hand-tighten until snug, without forcing it further.

7. Attach the Showerhead

• Screw the free end of the hose onto the showerhead itself.
• Again, hand-tight is the goal here — no tools needed.

8. Turn the Water Back On

• Open the valve slowly so pressure builds up gradually.
• Look over every connection — connector, hose, and showerhead — for drips.
• If anything's leaking, snug up that connection a bit more.

9. Angle the Showerhead

• Adjust the head to whatever angle feels most comfortable for your shower.

10. Run a Final Test

• Turn the shower on and confirm the water flow looks right.
• Double-check for leaks one more time and tighten anything that needs it.

Tips for a Smooth Installation

• Have a towel or small bucket ready to catch any drips when removing the old showerhead.
• Stick to hand-tightening on every connection — tools can damage the fittings.
• Still seeing a leak? Add one more wrap of plumber's tape to the threads and try again.
