Why Filter Replacement Matters

Every time water passes through your showerhead, the filter is quietly trapping chlorine, sediment, and other impurities. That build-up is a good sign — it means the filter is doing its job — but it also means the media gets saturated over time. Once that happens, water flow and filtration quality start to drop. Staying on top of replacements keeps performance consistent and protects the rest of the showerhead from mineral buildup.

Before You Start

Grab these before you begin — it'll take less than a minute to gather everything:

• A new replacement filter for your model
• A dry cloth or small towel
• Rubber gloves (optional, but helpful if the housing feels tight)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Shut off the water. Turn off the valve at your shower before touching the showerhead — this avoids any surprise drips while you're working.
2. Twist open the base. Hold the showerhead steady and turn the bottom section counter-clockwise. If it's snug, wrap it with a cloth or put on gloves for extra grip.
3. Take out the old filter. With the base open, slide the used filter out gently. There's no need to force it — if it resists, double-check that the base is fully unscrewed.
4. Check the housing. Take a quick look inside for any leftover sediment or mineral residue, and wipe it out with a damp cloth if needed.
5. Drop in the new filter. Line it up with the housing and set it in place. It should sit flush without any resistance — if it doesn't, it's probably misaligned.
6. Screw the base back on. Turn it clockwise until snug. Firm is good; overtightening can strip the threads, so stop once it feels secure.
7. Run a quick test. Turn the water back on and check around the base for leaks. If you spot any, give it another quarter-turn.
